Not a Spain in the neck
Review of Spanair by seagers

Advantages: They fly from Bristol
Disadvantages: No time for Duty free during flight

...on a chartered flight with Spanair to Palma Majorca. Span air was absolutely brilliant…. The checkin was done by Travel city staff and the girl who checked us in was very polite and cheerful which is always a good start to the holiday. Our plane an Airbus 320 was due in at 18.30 and was 10 minutes late, although this made no difference to the turn around and we left on time. The smiling Spanair crew welcomed us on board. After a nice smooth take ...
...to pay for drinks although water was complimentary and a free bag of salted nuts was given if you had a drink. Next was the main meal. I used to work for a firm at Gatwick, who catered many of the big named airlines, so I am well aware of the quality of food served on board. However the meal we received was absolutely lovely. The starter wasn’t brilliant, but the main meal of chicken, peas, carrots & diced potatoes was delicious and there was a ... Read review

Surprisingly reassuring...
Review of Estonian Air by goldfishlou

Advantages: Cheap, friendly, and generally comfortable
Disadvantages: Slightly complex ticket pick-up process, almost no-frills airline

I used Estonian Air in July 2005, as the last leg of the popular UK-Finland-St Petersburg-Estonia-UK trip. I'd booked months in advance, but had clearly been asleep when navigating the web interface, since I'd set the ticket pick-up office to London Gatwick rather than Tallinn. Disaster loomed - living nowhere near Gatwick, too late to book other tickets, and the only easy solution was to try to get a ticket modification through a website from an ...
...hand baggage. Admittedly, Estonian Air does suffer a little from its no-frill presentation, and you would be well advised to bring a little cash with you for the trip, because the Tallinn-Gatwick flight is not a short one and it's hard to say no to a coffee. However, should life take me to that corner of the world again, I'd probably choose to fly with Estonian Air. ... Read review

Fly to Paris 10,000 miles
Review of Air France Frequence Plus by Victor77

Advantages: One Cheap reward 10,000 pts to Paris from LHR
Disadvantages: Relatively few partners to claim reciprical points

This frequent flyer programme was one that I liked it does reward you on the mileage taken but has the serious flaw of taking an enormous number of flights before you earn enough to go anywhere or to even move up their status levels. If you find that you are stuck to them for flights since they either own the only route or they are the cheapest operator, you may find that one of their best flight awards is for a flight to parris for 10,000 miles ... ...bright tomatoes/oranges/bananas. The staff of Adria wore a black shirt, black skirt with a turquoise jacket. The women worse darker blue scarves and the men wore ties. On arrival on the plane they met us with a smile and "said welcome" and again when we left they wished us a lovely holiday. On the return journey they thanked us for traveling with Adria Airways and then wished us a safe journey home. Not only did this personal touch make me feel quite ... Read review

Beautiful Islander
Review of Aurigny Air Services by angel6985

Advantages: Excellent customer service, good time management and frequent flights
Disadvantages: Not the best planes, comparatively expensive, and could have long delays if plane needs repairing - as there's not many extra planes

...as I actually work for Aurigny as part of the ground crew in Guernsey. Whilst I'm glad that the last commentator liked the service so much, there're a few points I'd make. Unfortunately the flights aren't *always* ontime. Being in the channel islands means that you get fog *a lot* of the time, and there's nothing Aurigny can do on that issue. It doesn't generally leave a big amount of turnaround time for the aircrafts which means one little bit ...
...with the excellent customer service Aurigny always offers. From convenience point of view, Aurigny in Guernsey has flights starting at 7am until 8.45pm everyday, going out to Jersey, Alderney, Dinard and to major airports in the UK, such as Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, to name but a few. There are 4 flights a day on average to major airports like Gatwick and Manchester, and inter-islands almost every hour. In terms of safety Aurigny has enjoyed ... Read review
