Top brand name for an economy price!
Review of Aiwa TA166 by

Advantages: Clear sound, not too heavy, rewind, FM Stereo, top brand name with the basics for under £15
Disadvantages: No FM mono switch, poor reception in bad areas, no auto reverse, low battery life.
...I bought this personal stereo from Dixons for £14.99, but is also avaliable from the Index catalogue chain. I decided to buy this product because Aiwa is a top quality brand and the product lives up to it's name, it comes with an AM/FM tuner, an auto stop mechanism and a pair of inner stereo earphones. The sound quality from the earphones are excellent and can be used for other things such as a television, the cassettes that I have played have came out clear and crisp, a rarity in budget personal stereo's. The tuner is an analogue one (with a needle) and is sufficent in receiving strong radio signals, but is difficult to receive weaker FM signals. I would suggest that anyone who is on a low income should buy this product who does'nt want to buy an inferior personal stereo for less than £15....

smart piece of kit
Review of Aiwa MM-VX100 by

Advantages: small, light, easy to use, super cool looking
Disadvantages: fiddly remote control
...My brother recived an aiwa mm-vx100 this christmas and hasn't seen much of it since I got my hands on it. The player looks like a real smart piece of kit straight from the box. Its shinny and its got a digital display and a fully funtional remote control.
Once I ran off to my computer with it I found it very easy to use. The CD included in the box featured Real Jukebox which enables you to copy CD's into MP3 format and the VX100 manager to copy the mp3's onto the player. The VX100 manager took less than 30 seconds to install on my pc (166MMX, pre-historic now) and is dead simple to use. You just search through your hard disk to find your MP3 files. Once you've found them you just drag them into the player window and it copies them on. It shows you how much space you have left on the player, how long each song is and how big...
