Advantages: great sound, fine appearance, full featured Disadvantages: large and heavy
...Are you looking for a high quality table top radio/cd but don't want the great expense of the Bose Wave? It's here, the new AIWA CDS-NS1! It looks better, sound better, and cost 2/3 less the the Bose Wave. It's easy to operate, and also contains a cassette recording system. It completely fills a kitchen, bedroom, office, or living room with extreme high-fi sound. At USD 189.00, it's far less costly than the fine, but limited, Bose Wave CD. It's somewhat large and heavy for a table-top radio/cd, but its physical appearance and quality far outshine any other high-end table-top system. One feature one should note is its ability to easily add both a MW (AM) and FM external arial. The finely finished wooden fiber board looks better and feels better than the white plastic found on other high end systems. Check out this fine radio soon...

...Aiwa are dedicated to maiing high quality audio equipment. I have been very happy with the equipment prodeuced by Aiwa, as the company have a good reputation. The aiwa minidisc, does seem to be fairly chunky. This makes it not as portable as it could be, when comparing it to sony's. They do have all the usual functions, such as track editing etc. This fact that this minidisc player is chunky, is probably becuase it was one of their first models. So if you wait a little while i'm sure that newer models wiill become slimmer and more practical. But overall this is a basic, and high quality player....

...I spent nearly £500 pounds on a Aiwa Hifi system beliveing it was a good make and a good Hifi system.
Maybe it could have been justified if i had the stupid thing longer than 1 year!, but i only had it for 7 months.
The Hifi will not play any CDs at all, things switch themselves on without pressing anything.
My brothers brand new VCR broke without cause he had that vcr for just over a year.
My friend in college bought a broand new aiwa minidisc and that broke too he had it only for 3 weeks.
IT IS OFFICAL AIWA IS TOTALLY USELESS....

This is a really great player which is worth getting just for the HDMI output (cable not included) and upscaling ability. I'd been using SCART for years to connect my old DVD player and wasn't prepared for how much better the picture quality was via... more

This slicky, shiny DVD player is an adequate DVD player for an average home available today in the market and i personally think,it's cheap and affordable yet doesn't run out of style and most quality. It is also more
