Aiwa SC-C58

Advantages: solid, classic design, sounds go-o-o-od!
Disadvantages: not funky, lack of good stereo effect

...From product title you never guess what is it. so here you are it's a SPEAKERS! OR precisely it's AIWA SC-C47 Multimedia active speaker system. I don't remember when did i get it from and how much i paid. I could imagine that you can buy this system second hand or updated version and it would be a good buy. Why this system is good? 1) QUALITY SOUND - i noticed AIWA is always very good 2) CLASSIC solid design with volume control , bass and booster buttons (on and off) mine system is light grey colour (matches all of my office desk equipment - i've got different makes but this basic not-offensive colour blends everything nicely) 3) SOLID construction - no problems since i have it. even after dropped them few times - excellent-excellent purchase! ...Aiwa are dedicated to maiing high quality audio equipment. I have been very happy with the equipment prodeuced by Aiwa, as the company have a good reputation. The aiwa minidisc, does seem to be fairly chunky. This makes it not as portable as it could be, when comparing it to sony's. They do have all the usual functions, such as track editing etc. This fact that this minidisc player is chunky, is probably becuase it was one of their first models. So if you wait a little while i'm sure that newer models wiill become slimmer and more practical. But overall this is a basic, and high quality player.... Read review

Disadvantages: EVERYTHING

...I spent nearly £500 pounds on a Aiwa Hifi system beliveing it was a good make and a good Hifi system. Maybe it could have been justified if i had the stupid thing longer than 1 year!, but i only had it for 7 months. The Hifi will not play any CDs at all, things switch themselves on without pressing anything. My brothers brand new VCR broke without cause he had that vcr for just over a year. My friend in college bought a broand new aiwa minidisc and that broke too he had it only for 3 weeks. IT IS OFFICAL AIWA IS TOTALLY USELESS.... Read review
