Aiwa UZ-US501 PC Speaker System Pearl White

Advantages: Great sound and look superb
Disadvantages: I wish i could show them off more!

...---Brief--- I bought these speakers to replace an old aiwa 2.1 system for my computer. The speakers looked the part and i wanted to buy something that could equal the sound of my hifi system. The reason for this being that i now store the majority of my music on my computer and rarely use my hifi system. Sorting through albums and songs on something such as media player, is far easier than sorting through a big pile of cd's and ending up in a mess! ---Sound--- The speakers are strongly built and very soild. They sounded a little stiff brand new, but from experience with other speakers i expected that. I ran them at low volume for few hours to break them in. This is suggested by many speaker firms to prevent damage to new speakers. I put the satellite speakers on the table top, about 2 feet from each other, and the sub under the table... Read review

...You can probably pick these speakers up for about £7 or 8 from your local computer store and without breaking the bank, these speakers are great! They aren't all that big, so they can fit nicely in the corner of a desk, on a shelf or on top of your computer and being that size, they are great for traveling so you can listen to your mp3 collection whilst on holiday. They also make excellent laptop speaker replacements if you want to improve the sound quality, however, since they are active speakers rather than passive they therefore require to be plugged in to the wall so you might want to take that in to account when purchasing speakers for this purpose. The speakers themselves are very stylish. The top section is covered in a sort of beige/white fabric and they have a metallic looking logo on the front of one speaker, and in that place... ...these speakers are one of the nicest looking on the market and would be an ideal replacement of any mac user. More and more Windows based systems have gone for the futuristic black and silver look so may look odd attached to a shiny white set of speakers! That is if you going to use them for your PC..... Well folks heres the suprise. There not purely designed to be used as PC Speakers! As the input on PC's use a 3.5mm jack (headphone jack) they can also be attached to anything else that uses this connection, for example, Small hi-fi- systems, portable CD players and most popular MP3 players, which therefore include I-Pods. Therfore making this an ideal accessory for any type of i-pod. Listen to your i-pod through your PC speakers while the PC is switched off, now how genius!
