Review of "Aiwa XA 007"
During the 90's company Aiwa from Japan as many other companies from far East try to give us something to remember in a segment of audio market close to mid-range consumer electronics.
And they did, stereo integrated amplifier from Aiwa model : XA-007 comparing to other products with similar price range integrated amplifiers such as Technics SU-V550,Sony TA-F400,Pioneer A-400x and others sounds great, soft bass, warm and clear in mid-range crispy in high notes.
But it has to be connected to a great pair of speakers usually made in UK, such as Tannoy, Kef , Mission or Wharfedale even JBL will work. No matter what if you try it with some conservative speakers or speakers that came from Japan it wont sound the same.Sound source should be either good gramophone or cd player from Marantz,Philips and/or Micromega even Pioneer.
Cables should be Van Den Hull or Kimber.
In past 20 years i had this amplifier twice first in 1990's and after i sold it back in 1992 i both it few months ago and it still sounds like i remember it.
Its a good amplifier, not expensive and it will give you hours and hours of pure pleasure listening.
