Advantages: high tech sound and video Disadvantages: to many wires
...the new product from aiwa brings a totaly new prospective on how to percive dvd technology. the sound is superb an so is the the video. the fact is that this new dvd player is one of the best of its kind. if your are able to configurate the aiwaxd-dw1-prtable dvd player with other high quality products it should give you all of the benefits that dvd can offer. the only trouble you ight get with this product is that there are too many wires and the instalation is not easy as it might seem on the first look. overall it is a fine piece of technology that everyone should be able to afford.

Advantages: Good price, good-looking machine Disadvantages: Problems with playback of soundtracks
...Having reviewed all the options open to me for a DVD player under £250, I decided on the AiwaXD-DV370.
It certainly looks the part, plays multiregion CD's (See Slinky Steve's review for the hack) and is intuitive enough to use for a mere beginner like me. This is a shame as the whole point of owning a DVD player is the excellent quality sound and visual playback! This fault is indiscriminate across CDs and DVDs, which play back perfectly well on other people's players.
I am currently battling to exchange this product with the reatiler I purchased it from (who do not agree with me that it is faulty). Therefore as it stands I'm afraid I can't recommend this player...

This is a good quality product that offers good value for money in the very short term. Although as with most products of this type, the value will deteriorate over time and should be able to get a cheaper version next year. It's a great device with... more
