I have worked in the electrical retail trade for several years and can say without doubt Aiwa offer excellent value for money.
For £400 you get a midi system, which allows you to play records if you have any, a 5 CD multi play system with all the usual extras like twin tape decks, graphics equaliser, surround sound etc.
The quality of sound is excellent for this price, you need to spend double to get a noticeable improvement in the sound, and Aiwa offer plent of power (120W) if you want to listen to loud music.
Reliability is also very good, it was almost unheard of for one of this brands products to be returned faulty - unlike some of their beter known competitors!
If you want a good system fo about the 3-400 pound mark then this is the brand to go for. If you can afford 600 or so then you should be looking for the more top of the range manufacturers.
