...Firstly, let me say that AKAI are an excellent brand who have been manufacturing high quality, good value for money electrical products for many years. However, although AKAI was a well known & popular brand in the UK in the 90's, best known for it's high quality excellent value VCR's, it has been largely absent from our stores since then so this DVD recorder is a long awaited product in the UK that will hopefully re-introduce the brand back into our highstreet! I have owned AKAI products for many years, as long as I can remember, and I have always found them to be of an excellent high quality standard, very easy to use with many new and advanced technologies and great value for money. ...I've been part of the DVD revolution for a while now, due to my computer being bundled with a DVD-ROM. My family was able to watch our collection of DVDs, however it meant being huddled up in my room, watching from a 17 inch monitor. Not the most thrilling prospect in the world.
