With so many brands and so many microHi-Fi's for each brand I decided to take a bit of gamble and choose one on the almost absolute recommendation of the sales advisor in Comet. Panasonic, one of my most trusted brands was to provide me with my next MicroHi-Fi the SC-PM10. Similar in size to any microHi-Fi today it came with the trendy minimalist look and shiny metalic front and modest LCD screen.
---Price---
Although you can get many microHi-Fisystems for around £100 I was quite pleased to be able to get this particular brand at £109.99. Satisfied in the reliability of the Panasonic brand, I felt I had got a decent machine at a very affordable price and which had some more advanced features (CD rewriter) to keep me going unitl I needed to upgrade to something more with the times.

Advantages: easy to use, cheap Disadvantages: no mp3
...The Alba CD microsystem is definitely one of the better low budget sound systems if your needs are fairly straightforward or if you are technologically challenged.
This little hi-fi is a great accompaniment to the kitchen for catching up on the football status whilst doing the dishes or for listening to your favourite CD in the bedroom. It is small, looks good and is very easy to use but lets be honest who uses tape decks anymore?
This hi-fi is great value for money. Since purchasing I have had few troubles (the remote doesn't work), the sound is great quality considering the size and it has served its purpose well as a radio and CD player.
If I were to purchase again however I would consider the advances technology and look for something which is compatible with an MP3 player....

Advantages: GOOD SOUND QUALITY, LP MINIDISC RECORDING Disadvantages: NO OPTICAL OUT CONNECTION
...WELL, AFTER MONTHS OF SEARCHING FOR AN IDEAL HI-FI FOR MYSELF, I FINALLY FOUND THIS ONE. SONY HAS A GREAT REPUTATION, SO I DIDN'T HESITATE TO PURCHASE THIS MICRO MINIDISC SYSTEM WHEN I FOUND IT ONLINE AT A PRICE £60 CHEAPER THAN ON THE HIGH-STREET. THE SYSTEM ITSELF HAS A SINGLE CD, MINIDISC WITH LP AND HIGH SPEED RECORDING, A TAPE DECK AND A RDS TUNER. THE OUTPUT OF EACH SPEAKER IS 35 WATTS AND THE SOUND QUALITY IS EXCELLENT, EVEN AT HIGH VOLUMES. THE DYNAMIC SOUND GENERATOR(DSG) GIVES EVEN MORE CLARITY AND QUALITY. THE SYSTEM HAS PC LINK CAPABILITIES, WHICH ENABLES YOU TO RECORD YOUR MP3 FILES ON TO MINIDISC, BUT THIS REQUIRES THE OPTIONAL PC TO HI-FI CONNECTOR. THIS IS A GOOD ENTRY LEVEL HI-FI, THAT IS EASY TO USE AND GIVES GOOD QUALITY ALL ROUND. ITS IDEAL FOR ME, A STUDENT AS IT IS SMALL IN SIZE AND QUITE AFFORDABLE! A GOOD ALL...

This is the great debut album from the Boston boys. This is great rock n roll music and great set-up. Although there are definitely some weak songs, there are also some very strong ones. I don't think that this album is quite what American Hi-Fi describe more

If your type of music has a lot of bass to it and you're on a tight budget, then the Sennheiser HD437 headphones are definitely for you. Coming at you for £19.99 R.R.P they deliver plenty of bass, good for Electronica, but also perform well with Rock and more
The creme of the crop as they say.
The QX6850 Extreme Edition is by no means a bad CPU, neither it is slow or hot temperature wise. The only thing bad about it is its price!
Back in the older days, Intel used to differentiate the Extreme editions... more
