Akai TV 2891-T Multi 100 Hz

...A fine 28" 100 Hz widescreen television with Dolby Digital. I bought this tv after reading several favourable reviews and haven't been disappointed in the least. The picture on this tv is exceptionally clear with vibrant colours and good contrast and can look superb, however if your viewing distance is small the picture can look quite grainy. Also if you are not used to 100Hz televisions be aware that motion is very jittery on them, Philips have a system called Natural Motion which helps with this problem but it is still noticeable. The sound is also very good, with wireless surround speakers, a superb integral subwoofer aand excellent Dolby Digital. Another fantastic feature worthy of note is the teletext system which stores 1200 pages in memory so no more waiting for the page to change, you can simply leaf through them.... Read review

...I bought this television 6 months ago of the currys website for £1920 and i have not regretted one single penny that i spent on it. First of all i must say that any 60 inch television will be rather impressive but this television takes your viewing experience to a whole new level, along with the 100hz processing technoilogy and the hd ready technology this television will play all your games consoles again like no other television. eg. the xbox 360's highest processing speed needed to play the top end games is 60 hz (basically this is how many times the screen flickers every second) but this telly will do a whopping 100hz which is amongst the fastest televisions on the market, this is quite astounding as the larger the television usually the processing speed is lower as a result but this is certainly not the case as regards... ...Firstly, let me say that AKAI are an excellent brand who have been manufacturing high quality, good value for money electrical products for many years. However, although AKAI was a well known & popular brand in the UK in the 90's, best known for it's high quality excellent value VCR's, it has been largely absent from our stores since then so this DVD recorder is a long awaited product in the UK that will hopefully re-introduce the brand back into our highstreet!
