You know that when you move house something is going to go wrong, on this occasion everything looked great until I went to switch the hub of my life on, POP! There went the powersupply, motherboard and processor! Oh Joy!
Anyway my planned PC project was moved forward a few months.
I spent all of Christmas and some part of the New Year researching the components and selecting the best mix. As I was changing my motherboard and powersupply I needed a new case the Akasa Mirage-62 looked like a really good choice even though the price was a little high. I paid around £100 for this case from www.scan.co.uk
If you want a cheaper alternative the Akasa Eclipse-62 is around £20 cheaper and basically the same case but with a different front bezel styling. This review is relevant...

Advantages: Protection from the effects of unreliable mains power supply Disadvantages: none
...testing has revealed that 15 minute power cuts are easily tolerated while using three of the four power protected outputs. Also available are 400va/240Watt and 700/405Wattversion coded BE400-UK and BE700-UK respectively.
On arrival in its robust packaging the first task is to unpack, slide off the battery compartment cover and connect the internal Lead Acid battery. It is then recommended that the unit is plugged into the mains supply and left to charge with nothing connected to the outputs for a period of 16 hours. This will ensure full runtime capacity. The unit is being charged whenever it is connected to the mains supply whether or not the unit is powered On or Off.
The unit features eight power outlets, four of which provide battery backup and surge protection, the other four provide surge protection only. There’s also provision...

Advantages: Cheap,Fast,Easy to Install Disadvantages: None
...it only uses 65 Watts of Electric, Better for the environment and cheaper for my bills. In Windows Vista the Processor gets rated 4.9 out of 5.9 on the Windows Experience Index which you can tell is very good for such a low priced CPU.
I would recommend getting a PowerSupply of at least 400Watts for this processor and it must have a 24 Pin Power connector and a P4 Connector for the Motherboard, if you do not the computer may not start. You will also need to find a compatible motherboard for this as well but if you are building your own PC I would suspect you know which parts to use.
The CPU Runs at 2.3 GHZ it is overclockable but I did not try this as the computers were not for me. The other features this beast has are 64 bit Technology, 3Dnow!, Streaming SIMD Extensions, Streaming SIMD Extensions 2, Integrated memory controller, AMD...
