...I installed the cooler and noticed an immediate drop in temp when the comp is under load. I had a bigger than standard cooler already but I have got into tweaking and overclocking my computer to enhance its performance. High temperatures get worse because to overclock you have to sometimes raise the standard voltages in the computers chip. Higher voltages = more power consumption and thus generates much more heat. The price that you have to pay for better performance.
Under load before, the temp was getting to 60 degrees C on my AMD 4200+, now tuned to 2.6gig instead of the standard 2.2gig.
Now, fully stressed it only just reaches 53 degrees. Better than I expected. To translate that to you more it means that this cooler is 12% more efficient than the better than standard one that I replaced earlier. I would suggest that this cooler...

Advantages: Size, Build Quality, Disadvantages: Slightly expensive for a case, no fans included
...******************Intro*****************************
You know that when you move house something is going to go wrong, on this occasion everything looked great until I went to switch the hub of my life on, POP! There went the powersupply, motherboard and processor! Oh Joy!
Anyway my planned PC project was moved forward a few months.
I spent all of Christmas and some part of the New Year researching the components and selecting the best mix. I paid around £100 for this case from www.scan.co.uk
If you want a cheaper alternative the Akasa Eclipse-62 is around £20 cheaper and basically the same case but with a different front bezel styling. This review is relevant...

...I was looking for a 2.5" encasing to make use of an old 40GB laptop hard drive and looking through the Maplin's selection I decided that this was the best looking for the price (£29.99). It was the smallest and prettiest on the shelf and also it helped that I like Akasa as a brand because they are usually good in PC accessories.
I then found it at PC World for £19.99, which made it more of a temptation for me to get it.
THE LOOKS
It comes either in black (pic above) or in silver. It is made of aluminium and it looks good with its brushed aluminium encasing. Still though it lacks something, It doesn't feel solid. It has blue LEDs on both sides, one to show is getting power and the other to indicate the HDD inside is being accessed but these lights are slightly deceptive when you buy and see it on the box as the LED stripe effect...

The Boss TU2 provides a quick,... more
