This new 460W ATX ver 2.0 PSU is designed to supply hi-performance power and look cool. The case is Nickel black and all the connectors are black, also the main wiring loom is sheathed in black mesh. The 12cm blue LED fan has auto thermal control and is ultra quiet, only 18 dB (A) under normal load. There are dual 12v rails to comply with the new ATX 2.0 spec and a 20-pin adapter for ATX version 1. This PSU will also run EPS boards such as Xeon and Operon. 2 SATA connectors are standard. The 4-pin power connectors are all quick release and auto voltage switching is used. Active PFC and full circuit protection are used.

The Q-tec 550 watt is a very powerful yet extremely cheap PSU which is also supplied with 2 fans as standard (1 fan draws warm air from your processor whilst the other fan expels that warm air out the back of your PC which helps to keep things cool inside your case) the 2 fans provide an output of 33 decibels.
The supplied cables are all of ample lengh and i had no problems whatsoever reaching them to my midi tower cased motherboard, the PSU is a gold colour and the 2 fans are coloured in rose gold and it looks quite beautiful for what it is.
As i said at the beginning of this review the PSU is perhaps the singlemost important component you will ever buy for your PC so just how good is the Q-tec 550 watt?

...OK ok ok the powersupply does have a limit, but to be fair...very few people shall ever take it to that stage.
If anyone out there is having Problems with their PC and need to find a better PSU?..Then look no further than this! The Antec TruePower 550W is the Best PC POWERSUPPLY money can buy at the moment.
It will give stable voltages all the time, and this can be seen via the graphic cards software, and also in The BIOS of some computers.
The fan is controlled by a thermostat within the PSU, so obviously if the psu is cold the cooling fans will spin slow, and if the PSU starts to rise in temperature the fans pick up speed to improve the cooling within the unit.
All connectors are black, and the main power cable for the Motherboard is Braided with a black Netting (24Pin).
