...The Belkin Power Y Splitter Power splitter is primarily used to connect devices within your PC. This is what runs power to the devices. Everyone has these in there PC so I thought id review it. This way people who don't know what this is will have a better understanding of what's helping supply power to there devices in there PC. The 6 inch disk drive power Y splitter cables are used to connect two internal floppy drives (3.5") to the power supply. With this you get 2 four pin mini sockets; 1 four pin male socket. Advantages: Keeps my drives nice and cool, Cheap
Disadvantages: One fan began to make horrible noise

...This is a great cheap way to add a cooler to your hard drive. My hard drive was constantly getting overheated and ended up cutting out often. So I went on a mission to find a hard drive cooler that will allow me to continue to use the 3.5" bay. And I found this! When you get this, it comes with screws and an inbuilt power splitter, incase you're out of moldex conectors. You screw the cooler onto the bottom of your hard drive with the screws that came with it. Once you've plugged in the power it should be already to go. Turn on your computer, and you're able to see the fan working it's wonders. The fan does an excellent job at cooling my drive. The only problem I have is after a while one of the fans malfunctioned and ended up making a horrible loud noise. To solve, I just cut this fan off. The cooler still worked fine for me with one... ...and supported in the case (My thermaltake actually pulled the rear of the power supply out of shape when screwed into place , causing the noise). Make sure it sits naturally and you'll have no problems. The cables are something else. All sleeved and colour coded to the case, terminating with the desired interface at one end and chromed screw in connectors for the PS end. Unlike other modular power supplies, the screw in connectors are positive and can take a good amount of abuse, still providing a positive connection. Included are varying length 4 pin molex connections and 2 way splitters to connect to drives etc using the standard 4 pins. It allows for these to be connected without having to cut back the cables or hiding the excess behind the rear panel.
