Akrapovic Bolt-on / Slip-on line Open Exhaust - Honda TRX 400

Advantages: excellent torque and performance and excellent chassis
Disadvantages: riding position can be a strain after a fir bit of miles on a trip

In fact my dad rides a Suzuki GSXR-1000 K2 and he went out and bought an Akrapovic straight after he heard the difference between the stock exhaust on mine and then the aftermarket Akrapovic exhaust... Since I have bought my Kawasaki I have added a steering dampener, braided front back brake lines, Akrapovic Exhaust, smaller number plate and smaller indicators. I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with this bike and feel I definatly made the right choice over all the other 600 on the market. Advantages: Cheap, easy to work on.
Disadvantages: None, it does exactly what it says on the tin.

...was astounding but the temperature gauge went mad, all this shortly before the engine let go!!!!!!! Metzler MEZ1’s are the tire you need, they last a while on such a light bike but not as long as some others. The amount of grip they give you is a must try! Just be patient, a bike this light will take a while to heat them up but once you get there you can push it so hard. Use Ferodo brakes, I have never liked EBC which seems to be the bikers choice but Ferodo’s last longer, feel better and save you a fortune in disks. If you buy one, or even before you buy one, take the exhaust of, if it rattles like it’s got a bolt in it be careful. The commonest way to de-restrict an NSR is to knock the restrictor into the exhaust but this messes up the carburation which could lead to an engine blow up. Advantages: all the fun of a 600, WITH MUCH MORE POWER!!!!!!
Disadvantages: Not quite as good finish as Honda's

...sexy but the beauty of motor-biking is the levels of personalising. I wanted a bike that looked sweet on both the track and on the road so I made a fair few modifications. I added a carbon fibre rear hugger, I realised that a hugger adds weight but it's a compromise. Carbon fibre is very light and in winter riding you will be grateful for this accessory as well as some carbon fibre around the tank and fairing. I changed my indicators for micro to add to the beautiful lines of the bike. I changed the screen to a blue one making sure that it is double bubble to increase air flow over my skid lid, as well as an Akropivic exhaust race system boosting performance and BHP. This exhaust system will set you back around £800.00 but think of the performance and the loud growl is music to the ears. I also had fitted HEL braided steel brake lines... Read review
