Akrapovic Evolution Line Open Exhaust - KTM SMC 660

Advantages: excellent torque and performance and excellent chassis
Disadvantages: riding position can be a strain after a fir bit of miles on a trip

In fact my dad rides a Suzuki GSXR-1000 K2 and he went out and bought an Akrapovic straight after he heard the difference between the stock exhaust on mine and then the aftermarket Akrapovic exhaust... Since I have bought my Kawasaki I have added a steering dampener, braided front back brake lines, Akrapovic Exhaust, smaller number plate and smaller indicators. I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with this bike and feel I definatly made the right choice over all the other 600 on the market. Advantages: fast, scrambler, good for racing
Disadvantages: It is quite pricy + needs taking care of.

...A KTM is genrally a good bike all round, although it really depends on what you really need, and want! When I got my KTM I thought that it was a great bike all round. 1 little problem though, it wasn't a road bike! If you are looking for a road bike, then a Fireblade is an exellent choice to make. Anyway, the performance of the KTM is very good, as long as it is taken care of. If this bike gets absolutly no attention at all, then it won't run very smoothly and may not fulfill your requirements. an exellent choice either way, i praise any1 who buys this bike.... Advantages: all the fun of a 600, WITH MUCH MORE POWER!!!!!!
Disadvantages: Not quite as good finish as Honda's

...sexy but the beauty of motor-biking is the levels of personalising. I wanted a bike that looked sweet on both the track and on the road so I made a fair few modifications. I added a carbon fibre rear hugger, I realised that a hugger adds weight but it's a compromise. Carbon fibre is very light and in winter riding you will be grateful for this accessory as well as some carbon fibre around the tank and fairing. I changed my indicators for micro to add to the beautiful lines of the bike. I changed the screen to a blue one making sure that it is double bubble to increase air flow over my skid lid, as well as an Akropivic exhaust race system boosting performance and BHP. This exhaust system will set you back around £800.00 but think of the performance and the loud growl is music to the ears. I also had fitted HEL braided steel brake lines... Read review
