Since I have bought my Kawasaki I have added a steering dampener, braided front back brake lines, AkrapovicExhaust, smaller number plate and smaller indicators.
I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with this bike and feel I definatly made the right choice over all the other 600 on the market. The close second choice for me was the 2003 to present version, HondaCBR 600RR......

Having been an ardent dedicated Honda man for the majority of my biking life, I actually relented and bought a Suzuki GSX-R 750. I was definitely looking for a step up from super-sport 600's, after having 3 different models of CBR 600. I was giving serious contemplation to two other bikes at this time which were Aprilia RSV Millie, or a HondaCBR900 Fireblade. However, after much deliberation and friend's recommendations, I went for the Suzuki. This was based on the judgement that you get the best of both worlds combining raw 750 power in a 600 chassis. The first Gixer 750 was released in 1985 and has undergone periodical changes since then.

...I have not owned a bike for about 30 years (my last machine was a Z900 Kawasaki). I decided last year to take the plunge and get back in the saddle. I read all the road tests available on every sports bike going, and after numerous test rides I bought a 1998 CBR600FW. This machine has been a revelation. It is nothing like the Z900, which was an ill handling and sluggish beast. The CBR600 is absoultely perfect for anyone new to the world of sports bikes, or thinking about buying a performance bike. It can be docile and is easy to ride in town yet on the track (i.e. track days)it can mix it with the best. The riding position is an excellent compromise between commuting and open road blasting.
