...I would consider myself, at best, an amatuer reviewer. I recently received my ASW610. Because of stock issues, I first used a ASW600 subbie and this was replaced by the ASW610. I have wooden floors in a 25m2 room, so perhaps I do not get the full benefit of the speaker. Comparing the 2 subbies, I find the ASW610 as good, if not better than the ASW600. It might be smaller, but it performs better. I only set the volume at about 50% which significantly adds to the movie and music expeirence. The subbie gets on with business wihtout overpowering the other components. From a space point of view, it is unsightly and out of the way. I use a Sony STR DA3200 AV receiver with a Denon 1930, B&W 684, HTM62 & LM1 surround speakers. Overall a very good combination.... Read review

Advantages: space saving
Disadvantages: sound and picture quality

...Myself and my fiancee where looking for a small screen lcd tv for our bedroom to save a little space and jazz the room up a little, i came across a few at our local mackro store after looking on the net for one. There where three to choose from but this Akura at £110+vat was the cheapest but looked the most stylish of the lot but i didnt see it working, how i wished i had. We got it home and set it up turned it on and tuned it on, all this was very easy and simple to do and the instructions if you need to follow them are all easy to read and follow.. When we had set it all up we turned it on and the first thing that struck us was the picture quality, it was, to put it bluntly bad, and then the sound quality, well if you put your telly in a big tin then you will get some idea as to what it sounds like, we tried messing... Advantages: Does everything you could ever ask for
Disadvantages: feels a little cheap for the price and the remote is awful

...I needed a dvd/sacd player and as Sony have quit the field went to my local Hifi specialist looking to purchase a pioneer 636 (which had superb reviews) or something as good at a simular price. My dealer said ok whilst the pioneer is good would you be open to something better? I'm always swayed by a good demo. and having popped back fifteen minutes later once the pioneer, this and it's big brother were set up. A quick burst of Pink Floyd from the live8 gig and the lobby scene from the matrix (Scarey how the salesman could read me so well) quickly had me sold up although had my bank account permitted me I would have spent four times as much money.The picture was very crisp through their 42" Pioneer Plasma, the sound through their Marantz SR7500 and B&W speaker system blew me away.
