Al-Quadim: The Genie´s Curse (PC)

..., and the ensureing need for stratergy and plannning is the reason this is a classic with real replay value. The game is also very strong as a multiplayer game, although the AI can be a little weak, especially on the smaller maps and random maps so its best not to have computer opponents. The number of civilisations (16 if you include the expansio pack) to choose from is both a blessing and a curse, the variety adds another dimesion to the stratergy, but can throw the game out of balance (Choson, Assyrian and Choson are the strongest, the Greek are very weak, but the cheats are so strong they also throw the game right out (try typing pow into the chat window). Overall, the game is very highly recommended, especially if you want a stratergy title for an older machine, look out for the gold edition, and dont pay more than £15-20 for it.... Read review

...The Curse Of Monkey Island is the 3rd and Final Installation in the Monkey Island Trilogy. I bought this game because I found the rest of them so good and I enjoy adventure games. The game for me was very easy as I am an expert at adventure games. If you like adventure games try the monkey island trilogy. I found this game very good. The graphics of the game are exellent as its made for the PC. It is very cartoony and Guybrush the main character has gone young again. Again you can have the easy version or the hard version, pick hard as it is better. I think that anyone who likes puzzels and a good laugh with computer games should buy this.... Read review

...This is the best graphical adventure game that I have played. It is now at a budget price, along with its predecessors - The Secret of Monkey Island and Lechuck's Revenge. The main character is a guy called Guybrush Threepwood who manages to turn his girlfriend into a golden statue by unleashing a horrible voodoo curse. People of all ages will like this game with its intuitive interface, high-resolution graphics and good-natured humour. There is also a harder "Mega Monkey" version for people wanting a challenge. It is compatible with almost every usable PC.... Read review
