Advantages: Excellent Book, Well Written Disadvantages: Very unbelievable
...ABOUT THE BOOK:
This book is written by Michael Crichton and was first published in Great Britain in 1991 by the Random Century Group.
This book is first and foremost about Dinosaurs.
It tells the story of John Hammond who is an eccentric Rich Man. He decides to create a Fantasy Park with Real Life Dinosaurs by cloning them back to life from DNA stored within Mosquitoes who were trapped millions of year ago in Amber.
As you would expect nothing goes according to plan. His Backers are considering pulling the finaces due to worries of the stability of the proposed venture, so Hammond brings in AlanGrant ( a paelontologist ) to look at the park as well as Hammond's Grandchildren.
The short story therefore is that everything goes wrong, the animals break out of their park sections and people die! AlanGrant has to help himself...

Advantages: Interesting, easy to read. Disadvantages: Posh policemen.
...Reading an opinion on here the other day, I found passing mention made of Alison Weir's Princes in the Tower. It's a super and accessible analysis of one of history's most famous whodunits; did Richard III really murder his own nephews while they were shut up in the Tower of London? I hadn't read it in ages, so went off to my bookshelves to find my copy. Before I managed to locate the pesky volume, however, I came across Josephine Tey's The Daughter of Time, another book which asks the very same question. I hadn't read that for an even longer time and so Alison now waits for another day…
Scotland Yard's AlanGrant is laid up in hospital with a broken leg. He's bored out of his tiny mind. There are no mysteries to solve on the ceiling of his room which is all he has to look at until a sympathetic friend arrives with a sheaf of pictures...

Advantages: fun, cheap Disadvantages: old fashioned
...for the publication are cream of uk talent. many have broken out of the uk scene to score big in america, such as alan moore, alan davis, brian bolland, grant morrison, and many more.
on the whole 2000ad is a fine read that for an hour a week can transport you away from the real world to other dimensions, the past and the future. if you fancy that, comic reader or not, then give it a try. it might just alter your perception of life!...
