You may well wrinkle your nose up at the Alba DVD65, only now seemingly spotted in post offices, and sale rails of any random shop - but this is one of the best dvd players I've bought! so much so, that I actually have two of them.
It does play dvd's from all regions, plays cd's, pre-recorded and ones you've done yourself, I forget what all the technical hoo-hah is for it, I'm sure you can look it up on here somewhere... lol.
It really is a brilliant quality player - the picture is superb, regardless of whether you have an ntsc tv or not.
There aren't too many buttons on the remote control, and it's so easy to operate even my mum could do it.
It is particularly compact, and rather stylish. It doesn't have a display on the player itself, but you don't actually need it.
A good start to this product but a bit more info would be needed to convince - if you have one already how long has it lasted and any downsides? There's always a downside to any product esp a DVD player.. is setting up really easy or do you have to look at the manual? If there's no panel on the machine does it pop up on the screen and are different languages or settings available? Are all the controls easy to use and feel of a good quality? Could you put a tv on top of it or are there vents at the top which get in the way? How much did you pay for it? As you can see the more helpful info you include the more of an incentive the product it will appeal to future consumers - brand reputation or not - I have a Bush DAB radio and its pretty good against my parent's more expensive Pure system. If you update your review let me know!
You will be told that you need to include a lot more detail in your review - but I would just write back and say that you've written all your Mum needs to know, and that is pretty good for a technical product !! - T
