...The "Alba 108" Is the perect present for anyone who is not looking to spend a bomb. This Small, versatile bit of hardware has many useses being able to play not just DVD's but also Plays; VCD's , CD's, MP3's, Picture CD's and Jpeg files. Alba 108 DVD player is also compatible with Dolby Digital, DTS and Kodak Picture CD's. The Remote Controler for the Alba 108 is very compact and slimline wich gives it a good grip and makes it very lite. I myself have a Alba 108 and have tryed other DVD players before but have found the Alba 108 to Best around for it's price. I have found the Alba 108 to be so up to scratch that i conviced my parents to go and take back there DVD player that they had just brought to go and buy an Alba 108 For just £30 From are local superstore "Tesco's".... ...This is my first review, I have chosen to review my Alba DVD player. Having used a VCR for a long time, our household finally made the jump to DVD. I wasnt expecting much to be honest and was pleasantly suprised. With our Alba DVD player we recieved a gigantic box which protected the machine very well, and inside was a very big but very smart silver DVD player a remote control, guarantee leaflets and instruction book. DVD disks are very small but delicate, they come in a slim case and fit tidily onto shelves. The DVD player somewhat shocked me it was just as big as our VCR and even heavier. The picture quality was slightly better than Video and the sound was may times better I have been told you can buy special speakers for DVD players to further enhance sound and bearing in mind I was using a six and a half year old JVC...
