Advantages: Portable Disadvantages: Short Battery Life
...I got this as a present for christmas. It is goon in that it is portable and recieved DAB radio. However the battery life while using DAB is not very long. Id say 10 - 20 hours at most.
There is a mains connection, but it was bourght for me to use in the garage where there is no mains electric and rechargable batteries in the size it takes are very expensive, around half the price of the radio.
When the batteries go to a point where DAB stops working, analogue radio still works if you switch over to that for several more hours, but that isnt what it was intended for!
Maybe all battery DAB radios eat batteries like this one, but if i were you id stick to mains power or use a smaller headphone portable radio.

The TR2003 is a rather asthetically pleasing product. It has a 'classic' look and is sleek and stylish.
It runs off either 6 C batteries or mains but I would recommend against using batteries as their life seems very short in this radio.

Advantages: Superb price, easy to use & excellent reception Disadvantages: Not enough bass
...Since the introduction of DAB radio i have always wanted to buy one. This is mainly due to the appaling reception on certain channels due to Pirate stations operating near the frequency of legal channels.
I was doing my normal weekly shopping at Sainsburys a couple of days ago and noticed this Alba set for an amazing price of £29.99!
The normal price for this set is £49.99 so this was quite a substantial saving. Also the majority of DAB radios are priced at around £90 onwards.
