I bought the Alba 6000 SIL back in 2004 from Argos for £39.99 if I remember correctly (but it is more than possible that I do not!) to replace an old 1980's VCR we were using that kept blowing fuses and ejecting the VHS straight after inserting!
Firstly, the looks of the unit - Very nice!The main button cluster (play & stop/eject) is in a round circle which looks very modern, even today, I think.
The rest of it is nice also, however my one has a missing flap, as it got broken back in 2005, through no fault of Alba I hasten to add!It is only a 2 head, however it seems to work at a better quality than my Funai 31 B-250 2 head, which I also bought from Argos, but years later (see my reviews for the Funai review).
The remote control is very well laid out, and looks very nice.I hope you have enjoyed reading my review of the Alba 6000 SIL.
