If you ever entered my bathroom you would some come to realise that I love to try out different brands of product to see what suits me best. I have a huge shall we say collection going on of shampoos and conditions. I tend to purchase what I see on offer or what is in, my price budget. This is when I came across the Alberto Balsam range. They were on offer in Tesco on the 3 for 2 in hair care. Only costing £1 per bottle is cheap enough for anyone's budget but being 3 for 2 I saved myself £1 and placed 3 bottles into the trolley.
I choose the Mandarin special edition shampoo and condition and also a coconut on that I am still yet to try. It states on the bottle that is a limited edition but then further down it also states that it is here to stay.Alberto Balsam is a cheaper brand of hair products which are usually available from pound stores, local supermarkets and I've even seen these in Wilkinsons. You will find the around the price of £1 give or take a few pence.
The bottles are attractive and made of a recyclable plastic, so once you've finished the bottle you can place it into your recycle bins. Each bottle contains 400ml of shampoo and contains pro-vitamin B5, this claims to strengthen hair. This particular shampoo is for normal and dry hair. There are directions of use printed on the back along with claims to gently cleanse, moisturise and restore shine.I suffer with a lot of split ends and within weeks of having it cut they are back again. I have very long hair that is nearly down to my hip bone; it gets straightened or curled on a daily basis so I need a good shampoo.
Alberto Balsam mandarin and papaya shampoo is easy to squeeze out of the flip lid located at the top of the bottle. I like to use a large blob of product which is around the size of a £2 coin or slightly larger. The product smells nice and fruit with a bit of a sweet tang. It is easy to massage onto the scalp and lathers up really nicely. It washes out with ease as well which is great when you're in a rush. The bottle lasts me up to around 20 washes making this extremely good value for money.I wash my hair every two days when using this product and it always starts to feel dirty quicker than when I use more well-known branded products.
After washing your hair it leaves it feeling and smelling divine but the scent doesn't last so long, with 2 hours later your hair smells pretty much the same as before you washed it, although it does leave it feeling and looking smooth and silky.Overall I think this is a brilliant quality shampoo for the price and would certainly recommend to people, for the small price you pay you can't expect salon quality shampoo. I would love to rate this a 5 out of 5 stars but I think I would just be being to kind due to the lack of time it really does make your hair feel clean and fresh.

I like these for the price but you're right - they're not as good as more expensive brands xx
