Advantages it will help tame

Disadvantages it does not protect your hair from straightener's heat

I like straighten my hair but it ruins my hair so I try to avoid doing it a lot.
So I thought if I could find a product to protect it from the straightener's heat.
My first was Alberto Vo5 Heat Defence Taming Spray. It was really inexpensive and at hands reach so I gave it a go. It did tame may hair making it easy to style after straightening it . Also gives it a a shine, but it didn't protect my hair. After using it only twice in 8 days my hair became really dry and I got really bad split ends. After washing my hair it still felt stiff and unmanageable. After that I stopped using it for my hair and used it to get felt-tip marks out!. I don't know if it would work for different hair types , but i know it didn't work for me. To help you know if it will not work for you too, I have straight too wavy long fine hair .
