penguins. He dashes downstairs but the penguins are nowhere to be seen. Instead, Albie finds two gnus in the loo dancing a tango, a herd of zebras asleep in the kitchen cupboards and elephants in the living room.

The elephants tell Albie that he cant have the things back as the rocket is almost ready for blast off to the planet Jupiter.
Albie asks if he can have his bed back and the elephants tell him to ask the colony of penguins who are standing behind him.

In the downstairs toilet he finds two moose dancing the tango but no toilet. Albie then goes into the kitchen where he finds a zebra who has a cupboard full of his zebra friends.
Albie continues to search for his missing bed, he looks in the cupboard under the stairs, behind the shower curtain and then he goes into the last room where he finds a heard of quivering elephants. In this room he finds a 'super-duper, intergalactic space rocket which has been made out of his bed, the cooker and the downstairs toilet!
The elephants tell Albie that he cant have the things back as the rocket is almost ready for blast off to the planet Jupiter.
Albie asks if he can have his bed back and the elephants tell him to ask the colony of penguins who are standing behind him.
Will Albie get his bed back or will the space rocket get to Jupiter? You will have to read the book to find out!!!!!
MY OPINION
My boys love listening to this story and have fun finding all the animals and the items that they have pinched from Albie's house.
There are 29 pages to this book all with lovely bright coloured illustrations which add to the enjoyment of the story.
The text has been written in a fairly large size which makes it quite easy for my 5 year old to follow and help out with the words.
The front of the book is a nice bright orange colour with a picture of an elephant wearing a space suit and holding a goldfish bowl which immediately drew my children's to it as they were very interested to find out about the funning looking elephant!
There is a television series which follows the adventures of Albie which is shown on CITV. We have not seen the series so cannot comment on how it compares to the books but we will be looking out for when it is on so the boys can watch it.

I would highly recommend this book as a very enjoyable read for children of all ages.
