4) You can use normal batteries in case the phone battery run downs. I know it's not going to last you a long time when using normal batteries, don't you try to make a one-hour call but it can be very helpful if you are in a tight corner and you have normal batteries on you!

2) It is very easy to use, it doesn't have tedious menus.

5) Charging time and lasting of battery. When charging, it is very fast. I think it is fully charged within an hour or so. And it lasts quite long. You can rely on it, it won't let you down.
DISADVANTAGES:
1) The screen could be a bit wider.
2) SMS facility. You can't choose a melody for sms beep. It is very low and you can hardly hear it when you receive a sms.
3) SMS organization. If you want to read some specific sms, you have to read them through. There is no possibility to have access just to one.
4) HANDS-free feature. I know many people find this feature quite attractive and it is one of the most important reasons why people choose this mobile among other of similar price, but it is not that good. I can assure you the quality of the sending communication is very poor. Many times I have been driving my car and some friend has phoned me. When I activated the hands-free utility they always told me they couldn't hear me properly, and I was speaking in a proper tone, I think you have to shout to be understood!
So, the conclusion that I have reached is that although its price is very good and affordable, they could enhance some features and then it would be 100 per cent ok!
Advantages: It looks daft, it does it's job well, and a free watch Disadvantages: Lack of decent storage for text messages
Okay i admit it, i only got this phone because i got a free watch that flashes whenever your phone rings. It may be a novelty item but amazingly enough it has come in very handy as i spend a lot of time writing music and rarely hear my phone ring. I also don't understand why some people have a strange need to own the newest or most fashionable phone. This phone looks cool in my opinion with it's clear plastic blue case, rubbery bits and flashing ... ...just a phone not a lifestyle accessory. This phone is lacking in many features that you would find on more expensive models but i can't really see me ever needing to use voice dialling (or whatever you call it) or being able to create your own ringtone. These are just expensive toys that i don't need. A bonus of this phone is that you can drop it down the stairs or even down the toilet and it still works (when you dry it out!).

...with me. The Alcatel Handy has an emphasis of 150 grams and no doubt, is above the mean in this way easily. One can decide between 15 bell tones and it has a Standbye-Zeit of 120 hours! Upshot
This model was quite very useful for my first Handy. It indeed already dated today unlike the newer devices but as long as in this way one can still telephone, it yes is sufficient. It needs yes not always have the newest design and the most functions. In ... ...or said better, it is simply very old but it all still functions as it ought as and that yes is finally main thing. The Handy adds it no more everywhere buy, but one has the possibility for example at many auction houses in the Internet, itself this Handy to buy. ...

I've had my mobile nearly 12 months now, and it's 12 months too long. Luckily, it's on one2one which is not too much of a turnoff.
The phone itself is quite large and chunky. Some people have commented on it, saying that it has an attractive shape. I must disagree. It seems bulky, and the battery on the back takes up a fair amount of the phone. The battery, is at best poor. It doesn't last very long at all. It fully discharges after 30 minutes of ... ...The actual phone functions can only be best described as appalling. Categories are extremely vague, like Call Divert to Voicemail is called 'Filtering' ! Scrolling is by buttons on the side of the phone which are not particularly good really.
Text messaging is the worst I have ever seen. The inability to send a text message that isn't in capital letters is frankly poor. 10 texts message capacity on the phone is low, when it saves the text message ...

I got this mobile for X-mas last year and I was very happy. now my parents have it, but I still find it very good.
It is very robust and a quiete heavy. But that makes, that it can fall, and in spite of the fall, it isn't damaged.
The menu is very easy to understand, the buttons are good pushing adn alsom very easy, just "one touch easy": with one touch, you are in the telephone book or in the sms-sending-menu.
It has no games and not many extra-functions, ... ...only for phoning and sending SMS.
The accu lastes long and is charged again in only one hour.
SMS can only be written with big letters. That isn't that good.
All in All, (I can say, that this mobile is really good, because it has enough functions and it looks great!!! ...

Advantages: Compatable with SMS,Value for money,loads of FREE calling credit Disadvantages: Looks crap,Wont re sale,1 line dispaly,only avalible on 2 networks.
...The Alcatel Easy DB one touch looks a bit cheap and tacky even though its quite small it is quite wide.The Alcatel fits in your hand nicley but is ugly compared to rivals.You can buy this handset in even clear green or black.
This handset could only be bought on the One2One network and Bt Cellnet network.But if you depseratley wanted this phone (I SO YOU MUST BE MAD) you could have it unlocked to all the networks which usally costs about £10 which ... ...SEEING AS THIS OP WAS IN A PRETTY BAD STATE BEFORE THE UPDATE I WOULD LIKE AS MUCH FEEDBACK AS POSSIBLE! SAM :0)
Overall i think this phone has some good points but i definetly wouldent buy another.If i could turn back clocks i would have gone for the Motorola which some of you may think looks uglyier than the Alcatel. ...
