An experiment gone awry
Review of Bambao by pablodiabloescobar

Advantages: Cheap, a li'l tasty and gonna make you dance like tina turner
Disadvantages: Regrets in the morning and i'm not sure it isn't in fact, wee. makes you dance like tina turner

...manly fashion before singing the Bambao song, THIS STUFF IS DELICIOUS AFTER YOU'VE FILLED UP WITH IT Some time later It's a blur but i think we decide that the woman gremlin in gremlins is hot and that Steve Guttenberg is one of the worlds actors and that Barney The Dinosaur is the devil. Steve and The Captain end up sharing a bed (no nuddy stuff just tops off) And i sleep on the floor next to thirty six glass bottles and a bag of frozen sweetcorn. ... Read review

All this Archer needs now is a bow and arrow
Review of Archers New Flavour - Apple by Barbsie

Advantages: Reasonable price, nice taste
Disadvantages: Says it's limited edition

...my joy when I saw Archers Aqua had a “new” flavour – I didn’t try it at first though because I thought that they had simply modified the bottle for the Lime flavour which I don’t like – I could have kicked myself when I realised the truth! So without further ado, let me tell you about the product at hand – Archers Aqua Apple. -=Packaging=- This is the same as most other alcopops – a clear glass bottle, but with a white label around the front. It ...
...florescent green stripe – saying Archers Schnapps and Limited Edition. The main part of the bottle is quite boring, and had has various grey circles dotted about. Obviously it has the usual logo/product name etc as well as a signature of “G W Archer”. The bottle contains 275ml. -=Smell=- Do you remember Strawberry laces? They had a green counterpart - and that’s what the smell reminds me off – not altogether horrible really, but sort of artificial! ... Read review

A quick hit to take away the blues
Review of Greenall's London Dry Gin and Tonic by suzannemckay

Advantages: Cheap and effective
Disadvantages: A bit too bitter

To start with I am not a gin drinker, I am more of a Baileys woman, however I decided to give this a go. To give you some background, I’d had a terrible day The gas board wanted to dig up my new decking, so I decided it would be nice to have a drink when I got home. I spotted this can of G&T as I wandered around Asda and I decided that given the price of £1.39 I would try it. I’m going to start with the effect…… only halfway through the can and ...
...have taken at least four Baileys minis to remove those worries from my mind. After reading the Greenalls website I now know why this little can was so effective. Each 330ml can contains the equivalent of 3.3 x 25ml measures of 40% gin and 2.2 baby tonics Now for the taste… not as bitter as I remember Gin and Tonic being! There is no comparison with Baileys but its not bad. I think I could taste the tonic more than the Gin, I would imagine it tasting ... Read review

Slip Me A Mickey Finn Anytime
Review of The Original Mickey Finn, Fiery Cranberry & Orange Schnapps by susan1967

Advantages: tastes lovely
Disadvantages: have only seen it at the Co-op

...but as I had drank the whole bottle in one go (with my husbands help) I couldn’t remember much about it. Good excuse to buy another bottle. I was drawn to this at my local Co-op basically cos of its bright red label and nice shaped bottle, its tall and thin and made of frosted glass making the liquid inside look colourless. It’s quite alcoholic at 20% vol. It was only £5.99 for 50cl/500ml so I thought I’d give it a try. I’d never heard of ‘The Original ...
...a notorious bar owner at the end of the Eighteenth century in northern Chicago. He used his bars as pickpocket training grounds and one of the popular methods was to ‘slip a Mickey Finn’ into the victims drink, thus making them defenceless. The problem with this drink is that it just goes down too easily, before you know it, you’re so stupid to even stand up sensibly. I first tried this drink out on my husband in order to have my wicked way with ... Read review

Mudshake
Review of Absolute Vodka Mudshake by shaun.shaz

Advantages: Milkshake....and vodka - two of mans greatest inventions combined!
Disadvantages: Has a bit of a nasty aftertaste - depending on what you've been eating/drinking

...Where can I buy an Absolute Vodka Mudshake? If you have a B&M near you then you can pick Mudshakes up pretty cheap (normally between 80-90p a bottle) where as in one well known supermarket the price is around £1.19 per bottle and the bottles aren't really that big. Value for money: You do get less in a mudshake than in most other alchopop bottles. So I wouldn't say they're brilliant value for money. Having said that though they are tasty, especially ...
...Packing: They come in small bottles, just smaller than your average alcopop bottle but with more of a funnel shape top. They come in different colours, pink for strawberry, brown for chocolate etc. The bottles aren't decorated very interestingly, I wouldn't say they're eye catching. They tell you up the neck of the bottle what flavour the mudshake you have is. Conclusion: Although they're not packed in a way that screams "pick me up" from the shelf, ... Read review
