I use Aldi Citrus Thick Bleach and at 12p find it very good value for 750ml.
It is Biodegradable which means it is Environmentally Friendly which is very important nowadays.
As a cleaner and disinfectant it is very good and I use it on sinks and basins, the toilet, drains, cleaning grouting in the bathroom and kitchen and for stain removal on white materials.
The label gives clear instructions for use and the correct dilution rates for each job (except the grouting job for which I use a capful to 1 litre of water)
The Safety Instructions are clearly labelled which is an obligation manufacturer's must follow nowadays under the Health and Safety Act.
Ingredients amongst others are less than 5% chlorine based bleaching agents and less than 5% Non-ionic and Anionic surfactants which is the cleaning power and disinfection properties in the bleach. Added to these is a very plesent Citrus lemon smell which is more pleasant than the ordinary bleach smell.
A very important safety point mentioned on the label is never to mix the bleach with an acid as this can be very dangerous. For instance if cleaning a toilet with toilet cleaner and then you pour bleach down the toilet and the 2 come into contact with each other, toxic fumes are given off as they are not compatible with each other, this can be very dangerous if inhaled and a person can be overcome with the fumes.
The label also tells you not to use the bleach on wool, colours, silk ,leather, man-made fibres or any garment with a special finish. Also it should not be used on enamel or plated items.
If used at the correct dilution rates the bleach is a very effective product and a useful method of disinfection .
Another plus point for the Aldi bleach is it states on the label that if not completely satisfied with the product it can be returned to the shop where purchased and they will be pleased to replace it and statutory rights will not be affected.
Wonderful value for the price and why pay more when it does the same job for less cost.
