...Maybe the ones with wings would be better because they would surely stick better with having 3 sticky bits?
These are obviously sold in Aldi which isn't one of my main stores so I couldn't say anything about quality in there.Lidl is one of the ones my parents use most often and safeway.

Advantages: does well soaking up when it's in the right place Disadvantages: tends to curl at the sides leaving a very thin layer of towel to support you.

Anyway hope this has given all you women a warning!
I've been writing on ciao for months now and it didn't click until about a minute ago that I could write about sanitary towels. What a good idea I mean after all it applies to most women on here (I say most because some could be pregnant at the moment lol or just simply older and past that certain age where you stop (bring it on!)).
Now surely I don't need to go into detail about what a period is but to cut it short for those of you who might not know (the younger members?)it is a cycle that all women get at some time in their lives (usually early teens).I got my first one when i was 12 and I was dumb enough to call my mum in and ask her what it was lol. Those were the days when i got spoilt for becoming a "woman" lol.Now what do I get?Bloody painful periods.
I'm one of these girls who are on a budget but who suffer from heavy, painful flows each month.this means I rely on my mum to pick my sanitary towels for me.These are usually the shops own brand and so this time it was aldi's turn.I've been throguh tesco's and asda lol loads of different ones but none of them seem to work.
The first thing I notice about them is they look really absorbant. They are pretty long too which I thought was great as well as being wide. However this completely fooled me because after using them time and time again I have found that the edges seem to bend upwards or downwards leaving a very thin strip to cover your whole knickers. They aren't suitable for thongs (as most towels aren't)and they can show throguh tight clothing (which I don't wear anyway at that time of the month because it hurts).
The problem with the sides disappearing is of course, blood flows onto your knickers. This is a very disgusting topic and I'm sure no woman likes the look of period blood. When you get the blood stained on your knickers you then have to go through the embarrassment of putting them in a container full of water to soak them before they can be washed.Or at least I do anyway. So what looked like an absorbant sanitary towel, turned out to be a towel that can make itself disappear.
Now I don't know about any of the other varieties available by them so i can't comment and to be honest I'll give them credit that they do soak up a hell of a lot of blood when they are in place, which then makes it easier to relax knowing that you don't have to change for a while.I think the only way that this would be improved would be if the glue that sticks them to the knickers was made a little stronger.
They aren't badly priced at 99p for 20 but again in my experience they don't always work properly.Maybe the ones with wings would be better because they would surely stick better with having 3 sticky bits?

Advantages: strong retain alot of moisture Disadvantages: quite large and thick if wearing tigher clothes
...people would think shopping at Aldi to be lower class or whatever but dont be put off by this, the sanitary towels i have been told are very excellent!
never personnaly tried the individual ones, the single ones without wings are thick and strong and excellent for long journeys to retain alot of moisture, when it can be impossibly to get to a clsoe clean toilet to change as often as you would like or when you just completely forget, which is very ... ...so comfortable. and sometimes completely forgetting is not a the best thing to do but perfectly human (ask any woman)!!!!!!1
so dont judge by the store gives these a whirl, int imes of emergency a woman doesnt care whats aavailable do we ladies!?!
thanks alot for reading take care G-d Bless bye xxxxx ...

Advantages: Very good price Disadvantages: None that I have discovered
I can highly recommend Aldi Sanitary Towels. Their ultra thin ones with wings are much much better than many of the more expensive brands. They are all individually wrapped like the well known makes but they are much easier to remove from the wrapper than some of the "posher" brands that I have tried. These little wonders only cost 99p for 14 individually wrapped towels. This is almost half the price of other brand name makes that I have tried and ...
