Just thought I would add my thoughts to the world of Aldi.
I have been shopping for approx 4 years. When I first went into the shop I went in for the Thursday special offers - which they still do. These can range from colouring books, lawn mowers, bikes, to kitchen and bathroom equipment, computers etc. I then decided to try some of the other items available, and do I wish I had before!
My family is totally mad on the cereal - corn flakes big box at 69p, choco rice 99p, weetabix, porridge, shreddies and choco chips. They also do museli and other really healthy breakfasts, unfortunatly not our taste but I have tried and they are good value. My only problem with the cereal is that the kids love it so much they are constantly eating it! The vegetables are a brilliant quality - better than Tesco and Asda. Frozen foods are again of fantastic quality, along with the fridgerated foods. The equivalent to mueller rice, crumbles, and yogurts are generally very good. I take mine to work and my fussy daughter even eats them. The boxes of cakes are great for lunchboxes, and the sweets are brilliant. My son who doesn't like Asda and Tesco value baked beans loves Aldi ones which are at the same price, as are the tinned plum tomatoes.
We have regularly had alcoholic beveridges from Aldi, and been very impressed (well when I am aloud to drink it hubby normally gets to it before me as he does not drive!)
I have a cat and dog. The cat has a good range of foods to try. Mine loves the sachets, and at 17p a sachet you just cannot complain. They seem to have more meat than most varieties and smell better, and the biscuits are well eaten by my cat. The dog gets the dried food, again very cheap but well recieved.
Aldi also does a range of cleaners - kitchen spray, bathroom spray, glass cleaner, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing powders and tablets etc. None have affected my skin like some other leading brands and my son who has very bad excema has not been as bad since transferring to them.
You can get nappies, wipes, sanitary wear, toothbrushes, mouth wash, toothpaste, brilliant shampoo and conditioner and shower gels. I will only buy these products from Aldi now, due to cost and quality.
Mu husband buys me flowers from Aldi and they have always outlasted Tesco and Asda flowers, and are a fraction of the cost.
Like most people I do not enjoy the way the food can be 'thrown' into the trolley at the till, but if you can forget this part, and think of the savings you will love the experience and money left in your pocket. Take the plunge and have a try!

Wish I had an Aldi near me. Sounds even better than I remember them to be.

Pretty good opinion./ I have no qualms about Aldi. i think it is sobbishness that keeps people away. I have scales, a bag, and a foot spa from there alongside others. the fruit and veg is really good too.
