Advantages: price, speed and reliability Disadvantages: A little large but ideal to put on your car keys etc
I use USB flash drives frequently and regularly have to replace them, I carry them with my car keys which especially with laptops they bend. And I can finally say that I have found one that can take anything!!
This gadget is encased in rubber, is water resistant and comes with a 10 year manufactures guarantee, which shows you how robust they are. It is not the smallest of pens yet I find those are the one which are most likely to fail, however it is not that large either. So if you value your data rather than squeezing it in your wallet, I would highly recommend this product. I bought one for £18 over a year ago and whilst in my lap top my dog sat beside me and knocked it which resulted in a loose connection, and the manufacture replaced it for me, new for old. They are ~ £13 from Amazon now so a bargain.
Here are some ...
Advantages: Reliable data storage, small & light, stronger & more robust than it looks. Disadvantages: Feels a bit flimsy, seperate cap is easy to misplace.
read and write speed is good, there are faster drives on the market, but at this price point it performs quite well, and it is fast enough for general use, and with it's 8gb storage capacity, you can get a lot of data onto it.
It does not have any fancy features, such as rubber shockproof casing etc. but it is a simple no frills USB drive that does everything that it is supposed to do without any fuss.
This is a pre formatted device that is plug and play, so there is no setting up to do, or software to install, and it is ready to use straight from the packaging with no fuss, it is enhanced for windows with "ready boost"
It is compatible with Windows 200, XP and Vista, it is also compatible with Mac os 10.0.2
Read speed is up to 16mb/sec. Write speed is up to 5mb/sec.
It comes in a blister pack, a nightmare to open, but it is ...
Advantages: All the features of the iphone but without the massive price tag Disadvantages: battery life could be better
--Background--
I bought the iPod touch for my son for his 10th birthday. Before he alerted me to the item I knew nothing at all about it. Having played around with it for a few hours, I can now see what all the fuss is about as this item is so addictive. The touch comes in 3 guises, namely 8Gb, 16Gb and 32Gb versions. These are all identical apart from, obviously the storage capacity.
--In the box--
I must admit that then the box came, I thought half the order had been missed as it is minute! Along with the ipod itself, you get the headphones, a usb to pc charger and a quick setup guide. Although this seem very little, it is actually enough to get you up and running in next to no time. As we bought this direct from the Apple store we were entitlted to free engraving on the back of the device. We took the decision to have his ...
