I bought these to use while practicing DJing, but to be honest they are the best all round method of "noise production" I have ever used. The build quality is second to none - one of them fell from a height of ~4 ft and other than a couple of scuffs there has been no noticeable degredation in sound quality. Also, they are *very* loud and can cope with pretty harsh bass for such a small driver. I usually listen to banging hard dance music which is pretty intense with the low frequencies, but these babies handle everything I throw at them.
