Advantages: A great smell and flavour Disadvantages: The applicator
The last time a passed through the international departure lounge in Heathrow, l happened to pick up a bargain pack of Lancôme Juicy Tubes.
Now this purchase was definitely a spur of the moment purchase – fueled on by alcohol l may add – ld just drank 3 pints of Stella and was feeling pretty merry! I had though heard many people extol the virtues of these products from work colleagues to fellow ciaoers.
So what are Juicy Tubes? The product name would make you think of something rude and naughty but fear not these are innocent tubes of lip gloss. They are pocket sized, perfect for that wee hip pocket in your jeans! They can be bought at any cosmetics counter where Lancôme are sold. According to www.boots.com a single solitary Juicy Tube will set you back the princely sum of £12 STG. Now that makes me feel a lot ...
Advantages: So many! Smell, Shine and more! Disadvantages: Quite pricey.
Juicy Tubes are that they smell good enough to eat!! There are so many different shades and each one smells different. I have Cerise (cherry), Fraise (strawberry) and Melon and they smell great when I use them!!
The shine in the lipgloss stays for a long time to, about an hour but then starts to fade. Although the shine in the lipglosse fades the actual lipgloss dosen't. It might just be my experience with lipgloss but it lasts longer than my other lipglosses!
Juicy tubes are the best lipgloss I've bought (and expensive) so far and they'll ge hard to beat! The Smell, Shine, Lasting power and application make a great lipgloss all round! I know at RRP £13 its expensive because I didnt know whether to go for it, but I can now happily say its definetly worth the money!!
You can get them in any Lancome counter and at some Boots stores ...
Advantages: Lasts for ages, tastes quite nice Disadvantages: Quite Expensive
I'm quite a big fan of lipgloss as opposed to lipstick, I find that it lasts longer and generally 'tastes' better. After receiving the No7 'Liplicious' liplgoss for Christmas one year I decided to go ahead and spend the cash on the trendy Lancome 'Juicy Tubes' lipgloss.
The first thing you find is that it is quite expensive. Boots retails 15ml of Juicy Tube for £13.50 while you can cut the cost slightly on sites such as buycosmetics.com who sell 15ml for £10.95.
I purchased my Juicy Tubes from duty free in the form of 7ml mini tubes, and I got 5 tubes for £20.
What I noticed when using this lipgloss is that you only need to use a small quantity when applying - a little goes a long way. It stays in place for a good length of time, I can put mine on before I go to work and have two or three drinks before it needs touching ...
