    ALFA ROMEO 146ti ((£200)) a...

I brought this car in Feb 09 for £200 with 2days MOT left on it... Risky, i know, but well, well worth it.

For the MOT I brought 2 new front tyres and replaced 2 light bulbs, unfortunatly the alarm was a proper pain in the ass, it would randomly go off as you was driving along with the hazards flashing too. the electrics in this car look an utter nightmare so I played it safe and removed the alarm altogether, unfortunatly that included the remote locking as well :( once that was done it went straight through the MOT with the above done.

It is a T/99, has 107k on the clock and ive notched up 12k of them, the only expense ive had was an oil change which was easy enough, a fuse for the central locking, and numourous rear bulbs!?! I brought a CD player for it but cant get one of the rear door ones to work, even after replacing the speaker, and because of the wires everywhere at the front, ive left it well alone!!

The engine sound isnt great, probably used to be, but is now more likened to a diesel sound below 2000RPM, it seems to struggle a little bit at the 4000rpm mark, but then absolutly rips at the 5000rpm mark, and then im gone.................... It doesnt use hardly any water or oil, although sometimes at junctions the revs can dip a little too much when you press the clutch, on the rare occasion making the engine stall, and when you start it again the key code light stays flashed up on the dashboard (probably something electrical again) Its had all these traits since the day i brought it, and there very minor things for a £200 car, It has MOMO leather seats which look brand new. (already been offered £100 for the seats for when i get rid of it, no plans of that yet though) Boots a good size but the drivers room at the front aint great (im 6ft 7) so i have to lower the back rest which gives no room for anyone directly behind me!

Overall, easily the best value car i have ever brought, and if you can pick one up for under £750 with history (Mine lived in Madrid, Spain for 2yrs) I would highly recommend it!

NB, sorry about the dirt, that was from just a weeks driving on Dorsets winter roads!!
