I purchased my Alfa 147 in 2005 after falling in love with the noise she makes. Nothing has the same growl as an alfa. When I bought my 147 she was already 3 years old, and is nearly 6 now. I spend a lot of time driving each week for work, around 300 miles a week in fact, so I have experience of her on all kinds of roads and journeys. I've even had kids inside mine and they didn't reduce it to it's bare component parts and they were in there a full 45 mins. Beauty is not Enough...!

I have owned my Alfa 147 2.0 TS Lusso for around 12 months, and have covered over 25000 miles. Disadvantages: Servicing,Fuel consuption

By jove, I think they've done it!

Advantages: Great Handling, Lovely Noise!
Disadvantages: The fear that Alfa built it...

...it hasn't! Maybe, just maybe, Alfa have done it properly this time. It looks lovely from the front (OK the back is not quite there), it's surprisingly nippy, the interior is very comfortable and far exceeds the quality of anything else in its peer group, and the engine just sounds like it means business. And I know it's a cliche to say it's corners like it's on rails, but... Given how much more expensive but dull the comparable VW Golf and Audi ...
