I am 52 years old. I am a self-employed technical illustrator. Have a love of cars and motorsport and have bought far too many of the former over the years. Given the chance to live anywhere in the World would choose Vancouver.

I loved this car. Bags and bags of torque. Unfortunately I bought an import thinking it was the 150 BHP model but it was actually the 138 model. Mine was silver with the red leather interior which we could not live with. My wife only drove the car once and instantly took a disliking to it. She never did want me to buy it in the first place. However I am now looking for another, possibly the facelift model and with lots more power. Now 175 BHP as the 1.9 JTD now has 140. This car has bags and bags of character. Won't hold much in the way of bulky loads but I would rather have this than the equivalent Audi A4 Avant or BMW 3 series touring for a far lower price.

Oh torque, torque and more torque -I can just hear the sound of that glorious alfa engine! I owned alfa's over the last 9 yaers -sadly my last one ...died )146Ti)/ Have heard the diesel ones. This was an interesting review-especially the warning about the imported one have less power! 138 as opposed to 150 -most diesels are 150 these days. A bit more of your advice on the diesel's noise, performance and fuel economy would be helpful -if you do get chance to update the other details let me know otherwise put your foot down and enjoy that ALFA! -CH (Motors Category Asst)
