All of my fish have a taste for these from my Angels to my zebra loaches.

I feed the micro wafer to my invert tank as i find that this is easily dispensed across the tank to ensure that all of the snails and shrimp get some. I have many snails all of whom adore this food source. The apple snails, rabbit snails, mts, nerites, etc.. and even the bamboo shrimp will make an express effort to pick these up for lunch.
The micro wafers i shop around for as i can often pick these up on promotion at one of my Local fish shops (LFS) at £1.49 for the small pack as opposed to the £3.49 every where else. I usually just pick up a large bag of the standard algae wafers For around about £12 and that lasts me at least 2 months. Which i find pretty good concidering i feed 5 tanks daily with them.
I feed no more than will be consumed within 30 minutes though as i find this is more than enough time for all to get in their dinner, and any that is left over (if any) i vacume out with my gravel vac to help maintain my heathy water conditions.
I know hundred of fish keepers and this is a prefered food for many of them. Most will recomend Hikari to first timers in a heartbeat. And of course these are fed as part of a well balanced diet and not the only foods to be fed.

...more versatile products are these Algae Wafers. The product was designed to feed plecostomus (plecs), which are bottom feeding fish, and any other algae eaters. Well I have 6 bronze corydoras (another bottom dweller) and so I decided to give them a go with these.
The product itself is available in several different sizes: -
0.70 oz (20g)
1.41 oz (40g)
2.89 oz (80g)
8.80 oz (250g)
2.2 lb (1kg)
I purchased the 40g packet, which cost me £3.95, ... ...where you can see the algae wafers themselves. The reverse of the packet is very informative indeed with features, instructions on feeding, ingredients and nutritional analysis all provided in extensive detail. The algae wafer itself is disc shaped about 2cm in diameter and are slightly concave in appearance. They appear slightly green and grainy, but this is unsurprising, as they are mainly comprised of vegetable matter. They also contain in abundance ...

Advantages: Great for plecs, well designed packaging Disadvantages: Limited use if you don't have a plec, my other fish don't touch it.
Hikari Algae Wafers. These are thin discs of various vegetable matters. They are for fish that live on or near the bottom of the tank.
I have a large number of Farlowella catfish, along with a bullnose plec and a clown plec. But you will already know this if you have been following my previous ramblings (Blatant plug, Sorry). These fish all love these, and the game of chase you see when one of the fish suck onto the wafer and swims around with it ... ...else you can say about algae wafers. Just that if you have a fish with a sucker instead of a mouth, you can’t go far wrong. I have got a couple of stainless steel wires that I put cucumber slices on and dangle them on a piece of fishing line to the bottom of the tank, replacing it with new when just the green outer part is left. This is the one of the only things my plecs like more than these wafers. But the wafers have more vitamins put in ...

...as algae. This is where algae pellets and wafers come in. Hikari Algae Wafers were launched in 1991. Before this time, "pleco food" simply didn't exist and poor plecostomus were getting malnourished. Hikari researched raw materials and developed the best "recipe" possible. They then developed this recipe into the revolutionary disk shape wafer which remains stable in the water and allows Mr Pleco to graze naturally. This also means they won't cloud ... ...algae wafers are disk shaped and slightly concave on one side, they are a dark, leafy green colour and are about 1.5 centimetres in diameter. The shape of the wafers were specifically designed by Hikari to suit the mouth of the plecostomus. They are made from high levels of vegetable matter that is perfectly suited for plecostomus and other algae eaters dietary needs. It is a complete and balanced food for your plecostomus and you can be sure that ...

Advantages: Ease of providing correct nutrition,Price. Disadvantages: none.
Algae wafers, sound appetising don’t they, well my fish think they are.
I must admit to purchasing these on a bit of a whim, I had a credit note (from the sale of some fish) with a couple of pounds left to spend on it. So I bought these Hikari algae wafers, the small pack (which is a resealable sachet), that I purchased cost me £1.45 and lasted me 3 months.
Looking like a green disc shaped tablet, they contain mainly vegetable matter, with ... ...these into my aquarium, my algae eating fish (Plecs and Otocinclus) come out of hiding to eat, but not only are they eaten by the algae eaters, but also by my other fish (Loache’s, Angel’s, Keyhole’s and Tetra’s). So it would seem that a variety of species enjoy these wafers.
These are feed together with a balanced tropical flake mix, and the occasional piece of potato or peas, plus some live foods to add a bit of variety ...

Advantages: dosent cloud water or make a funny smell Disadvantages: none that i can think of
I have kept fish for about 6 years and i have tried many brands over the years and i prefert his one the most. I notice that they have now brought out green red and orange pots of this stuff which i think is growth, colour and vegetarian flakes. But i find the standard one is good enough and does the job. I have used the tetrafin one and i find that it causes a really fishy smell from the tank, and water changes are needed more frequently. I also find this with the king brittish ones too. So all in all this is the best kind of food as fr as im concerned, and im sure the fish like it more too :)
P.S clown loaches and pleccos love algaewafers and bananas!! ...
Advantages: Light when empty (unlike glass aquariums), good design, fits in most places. Disadvantages: None.
.
I have no problem with algae, but i do have some nerite snails and algae shrimp to prevent the algae properly growing.
Don't place a biorb or biube in a window that receives direct sunlight as this can cause a fire as would any fish bowl or crystal ball. It creates a magnifying effect. The manufacturers make you aware of this in the instructions. My biorb is is the window, but the window never recieves direct sunlight.
I have tropical fish in my biorb. tetras, shrimp, snails. They are small so have some room to swim about and be happy. I have moss balls in the biorb, they are nice to look at and absorb the same nutrients that algae would need, thus preventing algae. I feed my snails and shrimp with algaewafers and cucumber and blanched lettuce.
I think biorbs are perfect for tropical fishkeeping, with small, community fish. I ...

that lobsters seem fond of, and since it's made for crabs and lobster, I'm sure it's got lots of the right stuff in in.
However I would not feed them this alone, and prefer to give them a varied diet. Mine seem to go on and off foods too. So I think they enjoy variety.
Fresh vegetables are a good idea, but lobsters are probably susceptible to pesticides - so organic and/or thoroughly washed things are probably best. The main vegetable I would recommend is carrot - you can throw this in is small slithers, or most of a carrot if your lobster seems big enough. Carrots are good because they sink and do not go bad quickly.
Most fish foods will be enjoyed, but obviously it will be easier for it to eat if the food sinks. Algaewafers are a good choice. And there are a number of other sinking products - you can always ask for advice In ...
