Desparate to enjoy a hint of lost childhood, I turned to "Alice..."; although I'd never actually read this particular tome before (its a sort of sequel to "Alice in Wonderland"). I think I conclude that really one needs to have a small child to whom one can read this stuff in order to really enjoy it. The adult mind demands rather too much structure and continuity. One moment we seem to be indulging in a rather frivoulous discourse with Humpty D.; then all of a sudden we're watching the Lion and the Unicorn resting after a fight. Why? Perhaps with the clear insight of a child we would be able to rise above such questions. Its good to see Hatter and the March Hare making a return visit - in slight disguise, no less. Allegedly the chess puzzle is solvable.
