A childhood favourite...
Review of Mallory Towers - Enid Blyton by emmy72

Advantages: Written in a more innocent time
Disadvantages: Only six books in the series.....

...Mallory Towers is a story about a girl's boarding school in Cornwall in Cornwall. It is written in a series of six novels, which sees the main character Darrell Rivers and her friends grow into women. For a child these days, Mallory Towers may be dull compared to the adventures in Hogwarts, the school from Harry Potter but it has good characters and children who love too create havoc just the same. The Malloryb Towers Headmistress, Miss Grayling has an ethos, that every new girl heres. She desires that they learn the things that will make them dependable women the world can lean on. Mallory Towers has some unforgettable characters. My favourite is Alicia, it was her that made me love the books. Alicia these days would be considered a gifted student, she is miles ahead of her fellow pupils, has a photographic memory and is the classic... Read review

Mallory Towers
Review of Mallory Towers - Enid Blyton by Madmama

Advantages: Great to Read
Disadvantages: NOne

...What a great series of books. Based on life in a Boarding school on the Cornish Coast. Through the six books read about all the things Darrel, Sally, Alicia, Irene and the rest got up to as they start out as first formers all the way till they get to the Sixth Form. A great favourite of mine when I was growing up, reading about the lesson they had and the tricks they played and the midnight feasts, swimming in the pool and the two french teachers who were either the best of friends or sworn enemies. I always remember wanting to go to a school like Mallory Towers when I was young. A great read for young and old alike.... Read review
