Aiding players in their cause are 20 different weapons including quad-barreled lasers nanobot swarms and more conventional flamethrowers. Accompanying Aileen is an indestructible robot that serves as both an ally in battle and a vendor from which she can buy items. As for the gameplay, "Alien Syndrome" is a top-down shooter where you have to blast your way through levels of aliens. It is just as straight forward as the plot in all honesty. However, there are numerous problems with the gameplay. Firstly, aliens will spawn everywhere and I am not exaggerating at all. For example, ... ...to the area, another identical alien will have taken its place. You don't have to venture far for this to happen either, so you might as well slowly tip-toe through the levels with the fire button taped down. Of course, it isn't this simple as you will find out when you infuriatingly run out of ammo nearly all of the time.
