The book tells the story of the Ninky Nonk, one day everyone was having a bouncy ride on it. We are then shown the Tombliboos who see the Ninky Nonk and then they catch it and also have a ride, next the Ninky Nonk stops for Igglepiggle and Upsy Daisy, they too get on and have a ride. We then see the Ninky Nonk stop for Makka Pakka but he does not want to ride on the Ninky Nonk. What does Makka Pakka want to do instead?

The story is very simple but that fits well with the show and my boys all love listening to it. My eldest is able to read this book by himself and does so in about 5 minutes. When I read it to my younger children it does take longer as we do sit and talk about all the pictures and what we can see in them.
The pages are all a nice bright colour with each one being different. Also on the pages are nice bright pictures which are actual pictures from the television show so the children will instantly recognise the characters. The writing is also a very good size and is easy to see.
The book was published in 2007 by Penguin and has a retail price of £3.99. We did pay the full price as we bought it from the school book fair so we did not mind paying this price but this book and the other titles in the series are widely available at a lower price. I have seen these books for sale in Tesco with a price of £3.00.
I recommend this book for all fans of the television show.
I am reviewing the hard back edition of this book and not the audio as ciao have listed it.
Advantages: A bright and colourful book Disadvantages: Story is not about Iggle Piggle, it had other characters in the story
...The story is about all the characters from In the Night Garden who go for a ride on the Ninky Nonk, each page has a different colour and you have a picure on one side and words on the other. **What do I think?** We bought this book for my son thinking it was a story all about Iggle piggle but instead it is about him and some of the In the Night Garden characters who take a ride on the Ninky Nonk. What I like about this book is it is bright and colourful ... ...colours. My son also likes to take part in the story so for example when we get to see Iggle Piggle and Upsy Daisy in the story he will wave and say hello to them. The other thing I like is because the letters are big my son is starting to point out different words which I think is fantastic! **Product Details** Board book : 16 pages Publishsher BBC Children`s Books Price: £3.99 Amazon Age: 2 - 4 ...
