Advantages: Friendly old fashioned service. Disadvantages: Out in the sticks.
...by serving aircrews. You are in "Bomber county". Also nearby, is Hemswell, yet another old wartime aerodrome, now a massive antiques centre. Hemswell is also the site of one of the biggest Sunday markets in the country.
Now to the garage itself, access is easy, even for HGVs. They take all major credit and agency cards, and sell all fuels, including of course LPG. Apart from fuel, they have a very good selection of everything else you could wish from a garage, including a limited amount of food, sweets, small gifts, gas cylinders, newspapers & books, and of course smoking materials. In season, they sell barbeque coals, flowers, and have water and air on tap. If you need to ring them, the number is 01673 878254.
The garage is only small, and there is only a limited amount of room to park a couple of cars, so if you need to shop, do it while...

Advantages: Price, Patience, Great Car, Confidence-Building, Clear tuition, Good sense of humour Disadvantages: none
...(April 2007). I learned to drive recently with Andy Kirby of 1st Attempt DriverTraining. He is an excellent instructor, very patient and explains things well, with a good sense of humour. Lessons are not overly expensive - the going rate at £21 an hour (currently).
Definitely well worth a look at this school (having experienced about 5 driving schools and 7 different instructors, I know what I'm talking about.). I was quite nervous when I started learning with 1st Attempt, but I quickly relaxed and became much more confident and calm, under Andy's patient tuition and guidance.
The car I learned in was a Renault Modus, a new car, easy to drive and great for learning in due to its size and straight back. I would like to put [excellent] for the rating of "quality of cars", but the highest it will allow is [very good] unfortunately...

Advantages: Very few Disadvantages: Makes those that observe the speed limit think they are safe drivers, restricts safe progress
...'. Tailgating is stupidity: driving without sufficient stopping distance is a cause of accidents. However, anyone being tailgated has to ask themselves 'why am I being tailgated?' The answer is 'because you are in the way', cure: move over to the inside lane. Learn about proper and safe lane discipline, don't block those driving faster, use your mirrors, look over your shoulder before moving out and keep out of the way.
Having said all this, I am not in favour of increasing the motorway speed limit until further mandatory training is introduced. 70 mph is too fast for someone not capable of controlling a car at high speed. I'll continue to take my chances with the law at 100mph+ speeds when the road conditions allow. I'll also continue to wonder in amazement at the morons doing 70mph when the conditions do not allow.
Meanwhile, the government...

I'm not usually one for playing computer games, but when my dad announced that he was going to buy a Nintendo DS along with Brain training, I was very tempted to give it a try. There is something quite addictive about testing your brain age and trying to more
