...This little book is excellent for people who like to name the rocks and minerals that they see in walks in the country side.
This book covers every common mineral in the world. Minerls, rocks and elements are all covered in detail.
Each different entry is given a page of text together with a colour drawing. This makes identifying what you have seen relatively easy. Plenty of properties of the minerals are included.
The book is as comprehensive as it can be with only 192 pages covering the whole of the world of rocks and minerals.
A good value buy for those interested in rocks and minerals....

"Hungary" by Menachem Shkolnik begins by feeding you just enough background information to gobble down on your flight between London and Ferihegy Airport. After the introduction, Shkolnik guides us through Hungary region by region. He should perhaps have put more energy into giving us an impression of the different towns and regions, rather than balancing this with what, in the end, turns out to be a incomprehensive guide to the various hotels. "Hungary" is well-complimented with photographs, and for a business trip or two-week holiday, would make a worthy companion....
