Advantages: Classic Deep Intelliegent Timeless Disadvantages: At times confusing
...Set in a house at a New England college. The play is split into three Acts all set in one evening. It is based around two married couples, Martha and George and Nick and Honey.
The play deals with issues such as marriage, The American Dream, the Land of Opportunity, love, progress and science vs history. We get to explore the two relationships and gradually see their flaws being exposed.
It was written at a point in time when science was at a turning point and the world was apprehensive of what might happen. I loved the way in which the play subtely dealt with issues of that time period. I also loved the way in which the characters played with each other to be in control and dominate each other and the ways in which Albee did that through his writing.
This dark drama is engrossing and was brilliantly adapted into a film...

Albee is a God! Review ofWho's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? - EdwardAlbeeby

Advantages: Captivating characters and plot Disadvantages: Not the best if you are easily discomforted

I've even made my boyfriend act out the scenes with me, the shouting matches really are a good de-stresser! Many will be shocked by the vicious games this couple plays with each other, masking their own shortcomings and problems at the heart of their relationship. Albee exposes the deep flaws and problems which can exist at the heart of the 'American dream' in an enticing and entertaining, but ultimately moving way. Top...

Advantages: an easy intro to the other side Disadvantages: erm, only that it's fictional!
...This is a fictional work based on the life and work of john Edward, a psychic from USA. He has been doing his work now, travelling over America and beyond, for many years but is becoming ever popular since his show aired on Living TV. For the die-hard fans of John Edward, this is a comforting fiction. Those poor souls who've only just discovered John will also find it an enticing read. I myself have read all but his new book and find "What If God Were The Sun" to be a relaxing and effortless read which flows from the start to an all too soon a finish. It's a brilliant intro into the fascinating world of John's work without being bogged down by tales of seminars and readings for those of you who find this tedious. I'd recommend this to people who know of John Edward's work and those who merely have an interest in what goes...
