Hello Friends and fellow Ciaoers, I thought I'd grace you with a review, being as I am awake, and my baby girl is asleep. I am sure I should be sleeping, but I hardly find the time to Ciao any more, so I thought, What better time than now !! ------------------------- Before the birth ------------------------- On the 21st January 2005 I found out I was pregnant - I did three pregnancy tests just to make sure! I had my first midwife appointment on the 16th February at 1.45pm, my nana came with me and we heard the heartbeat - it was fantastic, this was when I really let myself believe I was having a baby. I thought considering my little girl is turning 1 this week, on the 9th May, that this would be a nice piece to write. I know it's only been a short little existence so far and you wouldn't think there would be that much to say but any doting mum will know how easy it is to talk about their children. It was the 26th October 1996 it was cold and wet outside yet i was in a maternity ward in devon the pain was unbearable and i'd been in labour for 31 and a half hours but at exactly 9:05 i gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl we named her nikita. Nikita weighed in at 6lb 13oz a nice healthy weight for a baby that was 2 weeks overdue. "Congratulations you have had a girl" the midwife said to me on 14th July 2003 at 2:30am as she laid her on my chest. I couldn't believe I had managed to give birth and it was not as bad as I thought. I didn't know what I was having so luckily I already thought of a girl's and boy's name, so there my little girl, Hayley at 7lbs and 13ounces, with ginger/blonde hair with big blue eyes.
