Advantages It worked well

Disadvantages I found problems finding it

Regular readers of my reviews will be aware I have a problem skin which is prone to eczema, especially when I am stressed or under par. I have used in the past, Allergenic Skin lotion, which I was buying in a large 100ml white plastic bottle with a flip top lid. This was costing me £6.75 a time but it lasted a while, I have to say. It was just one of the many products I had tried in the past to try to help me with my dry and problem sensitive skin. The little lad takes after me unfortunately.

The ingredients are as follows:

Aloe barbadensis, Beeswax, Caprylic/Capirc Triglyceride (from coconut oil), Glycerin (vegetable source), Lauryl Glucoside (coconut palm kernel), palm coconut oil, coconut castor oil, Brassica Campestris (Rapeseed) Sterols, meadowfarm seed oil, palm sunflower seeds, plant cellulose, borago seed oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (from cereals), Xanthan Gum (natural), Allantoin (from sugar beet), Glycyrrhetinin Acid (liquorice root), Sodium Sydroxide (natural), Citric Acid.

Allergenics Skin Lotion
What I used to like about this cream was that it nourished and protected and moisturised all at one. It was completely lanolin and preservative free too, which I also thought was an added bones. The more natural the better, as far as I am concerned. It is demagogically tested and suitable for people with a range of skin conditions and it never irritated or caused me any discomfort whilst I was using it. The reason I stopped was I was finding it harder and harder to source and I started to use something else in its place.

I used to apply this at least once a day, more at weekends as I was at home and therefore able to use it more frequently. I used to apply it in large sweeping motions and it always sank right into my skin and left no sticky or greasy residue behind like some of these thick emollients are prone to do. I liked it because it was not only a barrier cream but it actually did a decent job at moisturising and hydrating my skin and making me feel less irritated by an intense itch.

When my skin gets really bad now I have to resort to steroids, which I am loath to do. If I sit in the sun I feel uncomfortable very quickly. I dare say my colouring doesn’t help (being pale skinned and carrot ginger hair, I mean), but it’s the price I have to pay for my good looks, I suppose!

Overall, this was a decent cream which I am happy to recommend, but I wish it had been easier to keep buying it more often.
