When I first opened an account with them at the age of 16, I was trying to look for a good competitive interest rate. As far as I know, Alliance and Leicester gives good interest rate of 10% for Premier 21 accounts (for people aged 16-20) including an ISA of 6.25%. When I first had a meeting to create an account, they were really friendly, asked me some necessary personal questions such as do I have another bank account with another bank, etc. But the problem I cannot stand is the leck of branches they have. They do have one where I live but not where my friends live. They should do better than this. Maybe as my friends were saying, they might have a bad reputation because their branches kept reopening and being closed down again and again.
